Towards plans to present the Goals Initiative to the United Nations family, the Permanent Mission of Nigeria invited representatives of select Permanent Missions to a meeting which inside the United Nations Headquarters on 28 February 2019.
The aim of the meeting was to acquaint them about the initiatives to enable them come on board to co-sponsor the presentation which will come up on a given date. An invitation was extended to the Permanent Mission of Japan, Malta, Monaco, Norway, Russia, Tunisia, Republic of Korea, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, People’s Republic of China and the United States.
In attendance at the meeting are L-R: Ian Naumkin (Permanent Mission of Russia), Onyeka Adinkwu (Goals Initative), Samuel Makwe (Permanent Mission of Nigeria), Ali Ben (Permanent Mission of Tunisia), Eunice Ukwuani (Goals Initative), Giovanni Buttigieg (Permanent Mission of Malta), Dr Bonnyface Opia (Goals Initiative) and Botto Florian (Permanent Mission of Monaco).
The presentation programme will include speeches on the Goals Model and Goals Sport which forms the pivot of the Goals Initiative and a live performance of the model and sport. They explain goal achievement and are used for teaching, research, training, as well as for entertainment and will boost efforts aimed at achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The main objective of the Goals Initiative is to galvanize humanity to take steps aimed at ensuring a better world where justice, peace, equity, friendship, love, tolerance and other desirables will prevail in other to achieve an enduring, endearing and beautiful world.
